Senator Jason Perillo Responds to CT Insider Report Revealing New DCF Data

Sen. Jason Perillo (R—Shelton), Ranking Senator on the Committee on Children, issued the following statement regarding a CT Insider investigation which reveals new DCF data. (“At least 28 Connecticut children with DCF case histories have died since 2025”)

“This investigation underscores – yet again – how DCF is an agency in crisis.

Preventable and tragic outcomes involving Connecticut’s most vulnerable children are going to keep occurring.

That’s unacceptable.

Reforms of DCF must be our mutual top priority at the State Capitol.”
