“Hello?”: Sen. Harding on CT’s June Jobs Report - CT Senate Republic

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following response to the June 2026 employment report (https://www1.ctdol.state.ct.us/lmi/laborsit.asp).

Hello?

Does anyone in the Lamont administration notice the alarming trend?

Connecticut’s labor force is shrinkingbig time.

It’s down by nearly 50,000 people for the year.

This is a workforce crisis.

So, what’s the plan to address it head on?

We are already behind the curve.

What’s the plan to create a more affordable state?

Here’s a to-do list:

Cut income taxes.

Cut property taxes.

Cut the public benefits tax out of our electricity bills.

Do something about the endlessly spiking water rates and health insurance rates.

Republicans have offered common sense solutions on all these issues.

Democrats say no.

Want change?

Want to reverse the trend?

Send more Republicans to the State Capitol.

Otherwise, nothing will change.”
