Sen. Harding Statement on Weak CT Jobs Report

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following response to the State of Connecticut’s monthly employment report.

“Where’s the economic growth?

It’s certainly not here in unaffordable, deep blue Connecticut.

We are seeing job losses across a variety of key industries.

Nearly 12,000 people in Connecticut stopped looking for jobs in just the last month alone.

Does anyone think the affordability crisis will get better under one-party rule?

It will get worse.

Connecticut Democrats created the affordability crisis.

They own it, and openly say they want to tax Connecticut job creators even more if they get re-elected.

Republicans will continue pushing common sense ideas to lower electricity bills and property taxes and health care costs.”
