Sen. Harding Statement on CSCU Scandal: “Clean Up The Mess”

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement:

“On May 15, Gov. Lamont said he had full confidence in how the Board of Regents handled the complaint against former CSCU Interim Chancellor Maduko.

On May 18, Gov. Lamont announced that the Board of Regents chair was out.

Mr. Guay resigned. Mr. Guay says it was all pre-planned.

Huh? What happened? This doesn’t smell right.

Gov. Lamont: Hold a press conference. Answer questions. Be accountable.

CSCU students, their families and CSCU faculty deserve that.

Overburdened taxpayers who are sick of seeing scandal after scandal in your administration also deserve that.

The ball is in your court, Gov. Lamont.

Clear up the confusion.

Tell us what is going on.

Be transparent.

Clean up the mess.”
