“Vote ‘no’ on this power grab.” Sen. Harding on GAE Committee Putting Reg Review Committee Bill on Today’s Meeting Agenda - CT Senate Republic

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the Government Administration and Elections (GAE) Committee including a bill proposal on its meeting agenda today which would alter the composition of the bipartisan Legislative Regulation Review Committee. (Agenda: https://www.cga.ct.gov/2026/gaedata/ca/pdf/2026CA-00323-R001200GAE-CA.PDF)

“I urge supermajority Democrats: Vote ‘no’ on this power grab.

Don’t alter the dynamic of a bipartisan panel which has worked so well for 54 years.

The committee would no longer be balanced as it assesses regulations impacting our freedoms and liberties, parental rights and individual rights.

Don’t put government’s thumb on the scale because you can.”
