CT Senate GOP Invites Federal Focus to Hold Fraudsters Accountable - CT Senate Republic

The Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus is urging the U.S. Small Business Administration to keep Connecticut in mind as SBA cracks down on suspected fraudulent activity regarding COVID-era lending programs. (https://x.com/SBA_Kelly/status/2006893291241980325)

In a Jan. 6 letter (view letter), the 11-member caucus commended SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler and her team.

“You note that Minnesota ‘is just the first state’ that you are reviewing,” the Senate Republicans wrote to Administrator Loeffler. “Please also turn your focus to Connecticut. While we are unaware of SBA fraud occurring here, we would welcome your agency’s investigation here in the Constitution State in the name of safeguarding taxpayer money and rooting out waste and abuse. Thank you for your work in protecting law-abiding American taxpayers and holding fraudsters accountable.”
