CT Senate GOP Statement on Assault of CT Correction Officer

Sen. John A. Kissel, Ranking Senator on the Judiciary Committee, Sen. Paul Cicarella and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the Dec. 1 assault of an Osborn Correctional Institution Correction Officer by an incarcerated individual.

“The injured Officer and her family are in our thoughts, and we send gratitude as she recovers from this attack.

As the Department of Correction investigates this violent crime and it is hopefully criminally prosecuted, we must continue to make the safety of our brave Correction Officers our top priority.”
