CT Senate GOP Statement on $154 M to Strengthen CT Rural Health

Connecticut Senate Republicans today issued the following statement regarding Connecticut being awarded more than $154 million by the federal government to strengthen rural health in the state.  (https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/press-releases/cms-announces-50-billion-awards-strengthen-rural-health-all-50-states)

“This funding – which Senate Republicans advocated for – will improve health care access across rural Connecticut.

It will help bolster recruitment and retention of healthcare workers, and it will improve and strengthen opioid addiction services.

We appreciate the federal government’s attention to Connecticut’s rural communities.”
