Sen. Harding Statement on SNAP Recipients Receiving Full Benefits Through November

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding Connecticut SNAP recipients receiving full benefits through November.

“Relief for vulnerable Connecticut families is what matters most.

We must prioritize people, not politics.

Thanks to our common sense bipartisan fiscal guardrails, Connecticut is able to help people in need.

And we now see the federal government announcing it is working to fully fund food stamp benefits for November.

What is mind boggling is that Senate Democrats in Washington DC still want to play politics.

Senate Democrats – including our two Connecticut U.S. Senators – are allowing that to happen by voting ‘no’ to reopening the government.

Gov. Lamont: They might listen to you.

Please tell them to do their jobs.”
