Sen. Rob Sampson and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding a newly reelected Bridgeport City Council member who was arrested Tuesday, for the fourth time on charges related to absentee ballot fraud. “Maybe the fourth time’s the charm?
How embarrassing.
Yes, innocent until proven guilty, but how many times must we watch this bad ballot fraud movie?
When will one-party rule Connecticut Democrats at the State Capitol admit and acknowledge what the rest of the state sees?
We need election integrity reform.
Connecticut Republicans have been shouting from the rooftops about this even prior to the viral Bridgeport ballot stuffing videos which made Connecticut a national embarrassment.
Connecticut Democrats have shown zero interest in ensuring election integrity and have repeatedly voted ‘no’ on Republicans’ repeated efforts to fix this obviously broken system.
So, the punchlines will continue with no end in sight.”
