Sens. Perillo & Harding Statement Re: Sikorsky finalizing talks to produce Black Hawks in CT for another 4 years

Sen. Jason Perillo, who represents Stratford, and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement today regarding Sikorsky finalizing negotiations with the Department of War to produce Black Hawks in Stratford and Bridgeport for another four years.

“For decades, Black Hawks have been the backbone of our military arsenal. Their reputation for reliability and quality is second to none.

They are the workhorses: Tremendous, enduring assets that get the job done effectively and efficiently.

This is more positive news for Sikorsky workers, Sikorsky suppliers, for Stratford, and for our regional economy.

The best helicopters in the world are going to continue to be made right here, by the most talented workforce. That represents stability, predictability, and jobs, jobs, jobs.
