CT Senate GOP Thank Gov. Lamont for Demanding Apology from Sen. Anwar - CT Senate Republic

Sen. Stephen Harding, Sen. Jeff Gordon, Sen. Rob Sampson, Sen. Henri Martin, Sen. Jason Perillo, Sen. Eric Berthel, Sen. Paul Cicarella and Sen. Heather Somers today issued the following statement:

“Gov. Ned Lamont is absolutely right.

He said in a news conference yesterday that he thought the cholesterol sign Sen. Saud Anwar was standing next to at the ‘No Kings’ rally was ‘offensive and inappropriate.’

Gov. Lamont said Sen. Anwar should not have posed with the sign.

Thank you, Gov. Lamont.

And thank you for demanding that Sen. Anwar apologize.

Sen. Anwar is a medical doctor. He took an oath to ‘do no harm.’

The cholesterol sign Sen. Anwar posed next to while grinning was about hoping a U.S. President will die.

But unfortunately, Gov. Lamont: CT Senate Democrats disagree with you.

And unfortunately, Gov. Lamont: Your own political party, the Connecticut Democrats, say that you are ‘MAGA’ for daring to weigh in on this issue.

Kind of shows the state of the Connecticut Democrat Party, no?“
