“Gov. Lamont now has ‘second thoughts’ about lowering the flag?
Gov. Lamont now has ‘second thoughts’ about taking action last month to state that political violence is unacceptable?
Gov. Lamont must elaborate on his ‘second thoughts’.
Charlie’s assassination was more than the killing of a man. It was an attack on all of us who share his views and values. It was an attack on the belief that disagreements should be settled through debate, not bullets.
We feel a kinship with Charlie. Like us, he believed that reason is stronger than rage. Truth is stronger than violence. And Charlie’s life proves that reason has the power to move millions. We are Charlie Kirk.
So, Gov. Lamont, we don’t know why you or any public official would have ‘second thoughts’ on lowering the flag for a husband, father, and son, who simply wanted to have a discussion in the political arena.”
