CT House & Senate GOP Statement on PURA Appointments - CT Senate Republic

House and Senate Republican Leaders Vincent Candelora (R-North Branford) and Stephen Harding (R-Brookfield), along with Rep. Tracy Marra (R-Darien) and Sen. Ryan Fazio (R-Greenwich), the Ranking Republicans on the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, issued the following statement regarding the governor’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) board appointments:

“After six years, Governor Lamont has finally complied with state law and filled all vacancies on the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.

Connecticut ratepayers have endured enough drama—they want lower electric bills, not bureaucratic chaos.

This is an opportunity for a fresh start at PURA and a reset for the Governor himself.

He needs to take a far more active role in addressing the energy costs that are driving families out of Connecticut.”
