Sen. Jeff Gordon Again Earns Perfect Pro-Business Score from CBIA – Named a “Job Champion” in Connecticut
HARTFORD, CT — State Senator Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock) has been recognized by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) for achieving a 100% pro-business, pro-jobs voting record during the 2025 legislative session. This is the third year in a row for Sen. Gordon, starting with his first year as a State Senator.
The CBIA, which represents thousands of employers across the state, including in the 35th Senate District, named Sen. Gordon a “Job Champion” for consistently supporting legislation that promotes economic development, job creation, and a stronger climate for business success.
“I’m honored to be recognized once again for my consistent work fighting for small businesses,” said Sen. Gordon. “Small business owners are the backbone of our economy and play a vital role in every community in Connecticut and each town in the 35th Senate District. We, as legislators, must do all we can to make it easier for them to thrive in Connecticut. Small businesses create good-paying jobs.”
Sen. Gordon emphasized the need for policies that not only support smart business growth but also address the broader affordability crisis affecting hard-working people, families, and business entrepreneurs alike.
“Connecticut has become increasingly unaffordable for too many people, not just for families, but for small business owners trying to survive,” Sen. Gordon added. “We need to create an environment that welcomes entrepreneurs, supports workforce development, and grows our economy, not by raising taxes, but by attracting more people and businesses to Connecticut, and by encouraging businesses already here to stay and to grow. That’s how we build a better, sustainable future for our state. These are the things I have worked on. CBIA’s recognition for a third year in a row highlights the ongoing work I do.”
Senator Gordon reiterated his commitment to advocating for small businesses and economic opportunities in every town across the 35th Senate District and throughout Connecticut.
