“Out Of Touch”: CT Senate GOP Statement Regarding Dem Lawmaker’s “Burden” Comment - CT Senate Republic

“What a regrettable, out of touch statement made by Rep. Kavros DeGraw.

So according to this leading Democrat lawmaker, non-degree workers are a ‘burden’ on the state of Connecticut?

Tradespeople and blue collar workers are ‘burdens’?

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians and welders are ‘burdens’?

Farmers, first responders, construction and manufacturing workers and small business owners are ‘burdens’?

It’s ludicrous to say we all need to get four-year degrees in order to secure good paying jobs. More than half of Connecticut residents don’t have a college degree.

So now that the lawmaker’s opinions are known, what do her fellow Connecticut Democrats think?

The state senator who represents her at the State Capitol is a Democrat: Does he agree with her?”
