CT Senate GOP Statement on Rise in Financial Instability for CT Working Families - CT Senate Republic

For Immediate Release

Sen. Stephen Harding and Sen. Henri Martin today issued the following statement regarding the United Way of Connecticut’s annual report which reveals that the percentage of Connecticut households facing financial instability has risen 17% since 2019. The “ALICE” report focuses on households that are asset-limited, income-constrained and employed.

“Under one-party Democrat rule, Connecticut continues to get more and more unaffordable for hard working families.

Connecticut has now reached the highest level of financial hardship ever recorded.

Does anyone see this crisis changing as long as Democrats are in charge at the State Capitol?

Senate Republicans will continue proposing common sense solutions to cut taxes, reduce electricity bills and help struggling working families.”
