CT Senate GOP Statement on Guilty Verdict in Trump Golf Course Assassination Attempt

Sen. Minority Leader Stephen Harding and the Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus today issued the following statement regarding a Florida jury’s guilty verdict regarding the individual who attempted to assassinate then-presidential candidate Donald Trump last year on a golf course.

“Justice has been served.

The attempted assassination was and remains a sad day for our country.

It was a sickening and cowardly act. We condemn political violence.

We commend the DOJ on its work. We also thank the Secret Service, Florida law enforcement and bystanders for their quick actions last year to bring about the arrest and now the conviction on all counts.”
