Senator Jeff Gordon Embarks of the 35th State Senate District Pizza Trail

HARTFORD, CT – State Senator Jeff Gordon (R‑Woodstock) today announced the launch of the inaugural 35th State Senate District Pizza Trail, an exciting culinary tour spanning the District and featuring more than 30 local pizzerias. The initiative celebrates the region’s vibrant pizza culture and the small businesses that help define northeastern Connecticut.

“I love pizza! The 35th Senate District is home to so many outstanding, locally owned restaurants, including pizzerias,” said Sen. Gordon. “This Pizza Trail is a perfect way to celebrate their hard work and the food they bring to our community. I’m thrilled to lead this initiative. I invite the rest of Connecticut to discover what northeastern Connecticut has to offer.”

The trail officially kicked off in Coventry with a visit to Coventry Pizza Restaurant, the first stop in a series of visits that will highlight local favorites throughout the district. Senator Gordon will continue his tour, so follow him as he shares each stop and its pizza on his social media pages and web site to encourage residents and visitors alike to explore the trail.
