Fairfield National Little League Team: Caring and Working Together to Make a Dream Come True

Statement from State Senator Tony Hwang (R–Fairfield) on the Fairfield National Little League Remarkable Efforts in the Little League World Series:

“What an incredible journey it has been for our Fairfield National Little League team! These remarkable young athletes have not only gone 4-0 to reach the U.S. Championship game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA—they have also shown the entire world what it means to play with heart, trust, and friendship.

Yes, their success on the field has been outstanding. But what has touched us all even more is how these 11-12-year-olds have carried themselves – with genuine caring, support, and joy for each other. The bond they share, the way they lift one another up, and the fun they bring to every inning has inspired people across the globe. This is about more than baseball—it’s about teamwork, friendship, and the once-in-a-lifetime magic of chasing a dream together.

As so many of the players have said, ‘this truly is a dream come true.’ And for me personally, it has been such a privilege to cheer them on side by side with our Fairfield community. Together, we’ve felt the pride, the excitement, and the unshakable spirit of our hometown shining on the national stage.

Now, Fairfield, let’s rally once more! Join us in supporting this amazing team as they take the field Saturday, August 23rd, in the U.S. Championship. With your cheers behind them, they’ll play not only for victory, but for the chance to represent America in the Little League World Championship game against the International Champions.
