Senator Martin and Representative Piscopo Applaud $1.7 Million for Water Line Extension in Harwinton
Harwinton, CT — Senator Henri Martin and Representative John Piscopo today announced a $1.7 million bond authorization by the State Bond Commission to fund the extension of the municipal water line in Harwinton. The project will connect the Harwinton Town Garage and the Animal Shelter—two essential town facilities that currently lack direct access to municipal water.
“This is a win for Harwinton,” said Harwinton First Selectman Mike Criss. “I’m grateful to the Bond Commission for supporting this important infrastructure improvement. Ensuring clean, reliable water access for our town services—especially our animal shelter—has been a priority, and today we’re making that a reality.”
The water line extension represents a strategic investment in local infrastructure that will enhance the town’s ability to maintain equipment at the garage and provide better care for animals housed at the shelter.
“We would like to thank First Selectman Mike Criss for his advocacy on this needed project that will protect the animals being sheltered and help our Town Garage properly maintain their equipment,” said Senator Martin and Representative Piscopo in a joint statement. “This is a smart, local investment with long-term benefits for our residents, town employees, and the animals in our care.”
