“Six years ago, the No Tolls CT grassroots organization hand-delivered about 100,000 petition messages to Gov. Lamont. That petition, which Republicans supported, told the governor that his tolls idea would be a huge cost burden on small businesses in Connecticut. It urged the governor to ditch his tolls plan and listen to working class families who are struggling to try to survive in this state.

People from all corners of the state got involved in the movement. Republicans cross-crossed Connecticut to hold forums and rallies. Together, we forced the governor and Democrat lawmakers to listen.

Now, the governor is feeling the pressure from far left Democrats who want tolls and tax hikes. We appreciate that he says he sees how things are expensive enough for hard-working people and their families. Yes, Governor Lamont: They still do not want tolls. Hold firm, governor. Don’t fold.
