CT Senate GOP Commends State Police on Unveiling New Traffic Stop Data Base

Sen. Paul Cicarella, Sen. Jeff Gordon and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding the Connecticut State Police’s unveiling of a ‘nearly real-time’ traffic stop data base.
“This is highly commendable. This online dashboard will inform the public – as well as us as policymakers – regarding traffic stop trends. We congratulate the Connecticut State Police on their commitment to transparency and efficiency as well as all who have been involved in this project.”
The dashboard, which can be accessed through the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s website, provides traffic data which can be broken down to show stops made by demographics, time of day and other categories.
