“Highly concerning.” CT Senate GOP on DPH Not Alerting the Public Re: Nurses With Fraudulent Degrees - CT Senate Republic

For Immediate Release

Sen. Heather Somers, Sen. Jeff Gordon and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding a Hearst CT investigation which found that the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) didn’t alert the public or health care systems about nurses with fraudulent degrees.   (https://www.ctinsider.com/news/article/connecticut-nursing-degree-national-scam-20371829.php)

“This is highly concerning. Health care is one of the most critical functions of DPH.

Gov. Lamont is not commenting. He really should say something.

This is a serious public health issue which merits full transparency. The public deserves answers.

We will be expressing our concerns to the governor and DPH. We will urge the administration to better communicate with Connecticut residents regarding this situation and any corrective action steps that are being considered.”
