“Condemn the violence.” Sen. Harding Statement on California Riots

For Immediate Release 

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the California riots:

“Police, the National Guard, and law enforcement of all sectors should have the ability to protect the general citizenry and property in California and throughout the country.  I thank them.

I condemn the violence. We all should condemn it.

I will continue to call out lawless and violent behavior and stand by our law enforcement agencies.

There must be zero tolerance for lighting cars on fire, blocking highways, shooting commercial fireworks at law enforcement, hurling rocks and cinder blocks at law enforcement, throwing Molotov cocktails at law enforcement, harassing law enforcement and assaulting law enforcement.

I continue to pray for the safety of all who are trying to restore law and order.”
