Sen. Perillo and Rep. Scott Celebrate Monroe Police Station  for Police Appreciation Week - CT Senate Republic

MONROE, CT – In recognition of the dedication and service of local law enforcement officers during Police Appreciation Week, State Senator Jason Perillo (R-Shelton) and State Representative Tony Scott (R-Monroe) and Monroe First Selectman Terry Rooney delivered fresh pastries to Captain Smith, Chief White, Sergeant DeCarli for members of the Monroe Police Department.

Sen. Perillo said, “Police Officers’ commitment to keeping us safe is the foundation of our community’s well-being. Their work for our community deserves thanks and appreciation every day and I am honored to have the opportunity to show gratitude. This is a simple but meaningful way to show our appreciation for the sacrifices our officers make.”

Rep. Scott said, “This is a small token of appreciation to show our ongoing support for the men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line for our community every day. I will continue to work in the legislature to stop the unfair treatment of officers and stand up for what’s right for law enforcement members.”

Police Appreciation Week, observed nationwide from May 11–17, recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of law enforcement officers across the country. The week serves as an opportunity for communities to express their gratitude and support for those who serve and protect.
