Sen. Martin Applauds “e-Apprenticeship” initiative
April 30, 2025

For Immediate Release
Sen. Henri Martin, Ranking Senator on the legislature’s Commerce Committee, today issued the following statement regarding the May 1 launch of the state’s new e-Apprenticeship system (portal.ct.gov/dol/divisions/apprenticeships).
“Good. We must do all we can to bolster Connecticut’s workforce and grow jobs.
We must address shortages in key industries. We must encourage the creation of career pathways as cities like Bristol are doing.
Pathways into the trades, construction and health care, for example. Pathways to good, skilled jobs and career opportunities. I encourage area job creators to participate.”
The e-Apprenticeship system will allow sponsor employers to register new apprentices, update information on their registered apprentices, and pay program fees, all via the internet.
