Sen. Berthel Statement on FEMA Payments to NYC Hotels Housing Illegal Immigrants

Sen. Eric Berthel issued the following statement after news broke that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sent payments of $59 million last week to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal immigrants.

“Was any FEMA money sent to Connecticut for similar purposes?

It’s a simple question.

Gov. Lamont should get an answer, and he should inform state taxpayers.

He is already on record stating that all illegal aliens are ‘welcome’ in Connecticut.
