CT Senate GOP Statement on FEMA Firings

Sen. Rob Sampson, Sen. Eric Berthel and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement after the federal Department of Homeland Security announced today that four employees are being fired for circumventing leadership and unilaterally making egregious payments for hotels for illegal immigrants in New York City.

That’s called accountability. We need more of it at all levels of government.

FEMA sent payments of $59 million to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal immigrants.

Was any FEMA money sent to Connecticut for similar purposes?
