Sens. Fazio & Harding: “Spending discipline works.”

Sen. Ryan Fazio and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding the Connecticut Treasurer announcing the early elimination of $394 million in transportation-related debt.

“This prudent cash management is commendable. It will pay down nearly $700 million in debt over the next decade.

Spending discipline works and ultimately bears fruit for overburdened CT taxpayers.

Fiscal guardrails work and they must be maintained. Republicans will continue working with the governor to protect and preserve them.”
