Senator Tony Hwang Step Up to Help Al’s Angels fill Holiday Meal Bins
December 23, 2024
FAIRFIELD, CT – Senator Tony Hwang joined Al’s Angels to help prepare meal bins for families in need during this holiday season. With the help of volunteers, over 1,300 bins were filled, providing meals for more than 6,000 residents, including children and families battling cancer, rare blood diseases, and severe financial hardship across the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT).
For nearly 25 years, Al DiGuido, founder of Al’s Angels, has led this incredible mission of compassion and support for families facing extraordinary challenges. “We had volunteers from throughout our community and Fairfield University and Sacred Heart students pitching in, and I want to especially thank Tony for coming out to help with the sweat equity and compassionate caring needed to make this happen,” Angel leader DiGuido said. “None of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers. We get it done every year through the grace of God.”
“Al’s tireless dedication to helping families in the midst of unimaginable adversity is a true testament to the power of generosity and compassion,” said Senator Hwang. “Each volunteer who gives their time and energy to support their neighbors embodies the spirit of the season and the heart of our community. Al’s Angels’ work inspires us all and reminds us of the importance of being present and working together to lifting each other up during challenging times.”
