Sen. Paul Cicarella, Sen. Jeff Gordon, Sen. Tony Hwang and Sen. Stephen Harding today are writing to Connecticut’s congressional delegation to urge passage of federal legislation regarding unauthorized drones that have been seen from New Jersey to Connecticut and beyond.

“The recent drone sightings over Connecticut and the northeastern U.S. are concerning and unsettling,” the lawmakers said. “We are urging our federal delegation to pass legislation to allow states to investigate – and prosecute – illegal drone activity. We are also urging them to work to provide more resources to Connecticut in the form of better technology capable of detecting drones.”
