CT Sen. Hwang Statement on Killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO

Sen. Tony Hwang, Ranking Senator on the Insurance and Real Estate Committee, issued the following statement regarding the execution-style killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.

“Tragic. Truly awful. Here in the ‘Insurance Capital of the World’, we unite in extending prayers and sympathy to the Thompson family, to the UnitedHealthcare workforce, and to our entire state insurance industry which employs more than 63,500 workers. We also pray that law enforcement swiftly apprehends the murderer.”
