Sen. Kelly Statement re: Guidance to Financial Institutions on Providing Relief to Those Impacted by August’s Severe Floods

Sen. Kevin Kelly, who represents the flood-impacted towns of Monroe and Seymour, issued the following statement regarding a new state partnership with banks and credit unions to provide financial relief to those impacted by the severe August floods.

“For the past two months, we’ve seen an inspiring team effort to help communities recover from the historic rain. Today marks another chapter in that team effort. I thank Connecticut’s banks and credit unions for stepping up, and I thank the governor for again taking the time to visit our region to personally see the recovery effort, to monitor its progress, and to hear about any ongoing challenges.”
