Sen. Gordon Statement on Route 6 Motorist Clocked Driving Over 90 mph

Sen. Jeff Gordon, who represents Hampton and serves on the Public Safety and Security Committee, issued the following statement regarding a motorist clocked driving over 90 mph on Route 6 in Hampton.

“Reckless disregard for the law. Putting other motorists in danger. We see it every day on our roads. People could be killed. Thank you to the state troopers who successfully apprehended this individual. This instance not only highlights excessive speeding on Route 6, but also misuse of license plates, the lack of vehicle registration and the failure to have insurance. We must strengthen support for law enforcement and review all current laws pertaining to road safety because we are seeing stories like this on a daily basis.”
