CT Senate GOP statement on 3rd straight month of CT job losses and the ‘new normal’

The Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus today issued the following statement regarding the third straight month of job losses in Connecticut.

“Connecticut labor officials describe these job losses as ‘a new normal’.

A ‘new normal’?  Connecticut Republicans reject that.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Our electricity costs don’t have to be the third highest in the country.

Our tax burden doesn’t have to be the second highest in the country.

Insurance rates don’t have to go up by double digits every year.

Republicans continue to offer a way out of the so-called ‘new normal’.

The way out comes from fiscal discipline, tax relief, and pro-business policies which will help us grow our way to a healthy economy for everyone.”
