Sen. Seminara Applauds $$ for Avon

AVON – Sen. Lisa Seminara (R-Avon) today applauded the awarding of $792,598 in state funding for Old Farms Road Connectivity Improvements.

“Some welcome news for Avon,” Sen. Seminara said. “These funds will make Old Farms Road safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists alike. I appreciate the governor’s and the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s attention to this important Avon infrastructure initiative.”

The grant was awarded through CTDOT’s Community Connectivity Grant Program which seeks to make conditions more accommodating for pedestrians and bicyclists in urban, suburban, and rural centers across Connecticut.
