Sen. Gordon Stands with Law Enforcement

I stand in solidarity with our law enforcement officers.  I recognize the courage and dedication they show every day and night protecting our communities, our families, and each of us, often at great personal risk. These brave individuals put their lives on the line to ensure our safety and to uphold the rule of law. This is ever more poignant given the tragic death of CSP Trooper Aaron Pelletier. Let’s remember the sacrifices they make, the families they leave behind each day when they go to work, and the important and needed role they play in maintaining peace and order.  Defunding the police, hobbling law enforcement in doing what they are trained to do, and not holding criminals accountable are the results of failed policies enacted by the Democrats.  These policies do not work. They unnecessarily put law enforcment in increased harm’s way. They put all of us at public safety risk. I have opposed these bad policies. I have proposed and supported common sense policies to support law enforcement, to hold criminals accountable, and to uphold victims’ rights. Thank you to all our law enforcement officers. Your service and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and I continue to express my gratitude, appreciation, and support.
