Sen. Gordon Named CT Senate GOP Caucus Deputy Leader - CT Senate Republic

State Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock) today announced that he has been named as a Deputy Republican Leader of the Senate Republican Caucus by Senate Republican Leader Stephen Harding (R-Brookfield).

As a Deputy Leader of the 12-member caucus, Sen. Gordon will also continue his leadership as the ranking member of the legislature’s Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee, and member of the Appropriations, Public Health, and Public Safety and Security Committees.

“Thank you to Senate Republican Leader Harding for his trust in me as a deputy leader, to continue to offer real, commonsense solutions for the people of Connecticut. Families continue to financially struggle and are rightfully concerned for their safety. People want to have their health care accessible, timely, and affordable. I look forward to remaining a leading voice in our caucus on these issues, as well as the many concerns of towns in our rural part of Connecticut,” said Sen. Gordon.

Sen. Harding said, “The senate republican caucus is focused on standing up for the people of this state. You cannot do that without strong leadership. I look forward to Sen. Gordon’s leadership as a deputy leader, and the critical perspective that he brings to issues that impact families across our state like crime and affordability.”
