Senator Harding Receives Perfect Score on CBIA’s Annual Legislative Scorecard

Demonstrating Unwavering Commitment to Connecticut’s Economy

HARTFORD, CT – State Senator Stephen Harding (R-Brookfield) is proud to have received a 100% pro-business record on CBIA’s annual legislative scorecard. This scorecard evaluated key votes on ten pivotal bills, specifically chosen for their potential impact on Connecticut’s economy and overall business climate.

Senator Harding said, “I am honored to have received a perfect score on CBIA’s annual legislative scorecard. This accomplishment reaffirms my commitment to making Connecticut’s business environment more friendly and supportive for companies to thrive. By scoring 100%, it is evident that our legislative efforts are aligned with the needs of our business community.”

Chris DiPentima, CBIA president and CEO, noted that the scorecards also reflected how lawmakers reacted to a series of costly workplace mandate proposals. “Connecticut is often rated as a higher cost state to do business and the 2023 session featured a number of bills that would have made that situation worse,” he said.

Senator Harding emphasized the need to support businesses, stating, “With the economy being so unpredictable, we must provide robust support to businesses in our state. By creating a favorable business environment, we can foster innovation and job creation, attract investments, and drive economic growth.”
