Shelton Senior Health Fair Brings Screenings and Wellness Resources to the Community

SHELTON, CT – Connecticut Senate Republican Leader Kevin Kelly, (R-Stratford) State Representative Jason Perillo (R-113), and State Representative Ben McGorty (R-122) in partnership with the Shelton Senior Center hosted their annual Shelton Senior Health and Wellness Fair on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

The event connected seniors with resources and information on issues such as mental health care, identity theft resources, veterans’ services, probate estates, substance abuse services, and local transportation services. On-site flu vaccinations and health screenings were available.

“It was great to see so many organizations attend to provide important health and wellness resources to the community,” said Sen. Kelly. “I appreciate all those who participated in this annual event to provide information, conduct screenings, and administer vaccinations to our local seniors.”

“The Shelton Senior Health Fair ensures that our local seniors receive the information and care they deserve. A special thanks to the staff at the Shelton Senior Center for providing these reliable resources and I look forward to seeing neighboring municipalities mimic their example, similarly, expanding these services throughout Connecticut,” Rep. Perillo said.

“The annual Shelton Senior Health Fair is a great way for community members to meet with the Senior Center team and discuss ways to keep themselves and their families well. I appreciate their efforts and wish this great group well for another successful event,” Rep. McGorty said.
