Sen. Sampson anchors a marathon nine-hour senate debate, speaking for nearly two hours alone, on supposed “Fair Housing” language inserted into a bill, which ultimately will put both housing providers and tenants at a disadvantage.

He offered reasonable solutions during the committee process as well as during the senate debate that would fulfill the policy’s stated purpose: to increase the available and affordable housing in Connecticut. Senator Sampson illustrates how the policy will instead fail because it imposes government power to interfere in areas where it does not belong (private contracts between two independent parties).
