Senator Sampson debates a resolution proposing a state constitutional amendment to allow no-excuse absentee voting. The resolution will bring the matter of no-excuse absentee balloting to a public referendum on the 2024 general election ballot with the question: “Should the State Constitution be changed to let the General Assembly decide whether each voter can vote by absentee ballot?” If the majority of voters in the general election support the amendment, it will become a part of the state constitution.
