Senator Witkos Gives Legislative Update to Granby Board of Education

Senator Kevin Witkos, along with Senator John A. Kissel and Rep. Bill Simanski, recently joined the Granby Board of Education to offer a legislative update on matters education related matters and to hear feedback and concerns from Board of Education members.

Senator Witkos also had the opportunity to hear from Granby Memorial High School students discussing their involvement with the manufacturing program at Asnuntuck Community College.  The program allows students to take coursework at Asnuntuck while simultaneously completing their high school courses.  “I  applaud these students for their interest in this program and for their willingness to take on the challenge of completing these courses on top of their high school classes.  The partnership between the Granby school system and Asnuntuck Community College has been a great success thus far and I am thrilled that students are afforded this opportunity to be even more prepared for a successful future” said Senator Witkos.
