Sen. Harding: “Anyone see the pattern yet?” - CT Senate Republic

Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the CCSU President’s resignation:

“Anyone see the pattern yet in the highest levels of the Lamont administration?

Arrogance. Mismanagement. Mistreatment. Recklessness. Law breaking. Backroom deals. A lack of oversight and accountability.

Your money getting wasted, again and again.

And the buck must stop with Connecticut’s Absentee Governor.

It’s all happening under his watch.

Gov. Lamont set the tone when he called Chancellor Terrence Cheng’s scandal ‘small ball’.

Then came Maduko. Now Toro.

Lamont said today that he hasn’t spoken to Toro ‘in months’.

Does he read the news?

Does he care?

Every day we see the blaring headlines about former top Lamont official Kosta Diamantis. The governor’s Banking Commissioner is also in the headlines for alleged verbal abuse of staff. And who could forget Gov. Lamont’s top PURA official Marissa Gillett who was fined for mishandling a public records request?

Gov. Lamont just shrugs it all off.

The governor likes to say he’s ‘just getting started’.

If that happens, brace yourself for more corruption, unaccountability and money wasted.”
