CT Senate GOP: Gov. Lamont “just keeps on folding like a lawn chair” - CT Senate Republic

For Immediate Release

Sen. Rob Sampson, Sen. Heather Somers, and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the governor now expressing support for legislation which gives more rights to illegal aliens than lawful citizens.

“Gov. Lamont just keeps on folding like a lawn chair to majority Democrats, doesn’t he?

He keeps caving. Buckling. Showing weakness.

He’s allowing himself to be bullied repeatedly. Why?

Gov. Lamont called the spending cap ‘sacrosanct’ then turned around and blew through it.

Just last week, Gov. Lamont said he saw no need to change the Trust Act, but now he is going along with changes which further hinder federal law enforcement and burden property taxpayers.

In the state Senate, Republicans will not only point out this bill’s many flaws.

We will also highlight how Gov. Lamont has yet again done his ‘lawn chair’ impression.

He’s getting very good at repeatedly folding like a lawn chair, and that weakness is very bad news for Connecticut taxpayers.”
